We found a piece of paper in the library, believed to belong to one of the residents. We believe it was lost a long time ago since it was covered in dust. Most of the page was torn, dirty and unclear, but the top half was recognisable, seems to be part of an undelivered letter from a citizen, written in red ink. Text reads as follows:

"When I found out... I was lost for words. I couldn't tell him the truth, I didn't know if he'd understand and I didn't want him to be scared, so I lied. He thinks you've gone away, so innocent... I must protect him at all costs. It's what you would've wanted. I can't believe what they did to you... I can't understand why they'd take you away from me, from Ju-" (Unintelligible past this point)
